BJ Selby has signed to play collegiate rugby at the University of Louisville.

"Coming to us from Father Ryan [High School] out of Nashville, BJ brings a wealth of experience playing both 15s and 7s where he helped lead his team from all over the field," Louisville Rugby said in a Facebook post. "We are excited to see BJ show his unstoppable work rate and physical play style all over the field for the next four years."

Selbey was a standout player at Father Ryan where he helped the program excel. "I am beyond blessed by this sport. Through many trials and tribulations, I have been pushed beyond my limits. I want to thank the Father Ryan community, my teammates, parents, coaching staff, and trainers. I will be attending The University of Louisville in the fall of 2022 and continuing my rugby career. Go Cardinals ⚫️🔴

Selbey is joining a rising collegiate program with the Cardinals. The university reached its first National Collegiate Rugby Championship tournament in program history this past weekend. They went 1-4 with a win over LSU.

Selbey will be an important piece for the Cardinals as they look to make it back to the national tournament.
