After a successful first season, Premier Rugby Sevens (PR 7s) is back with their professional league this Saturday in San Jose, California. The group is the highest sevens league in the USA and started their inaugural competition in October 2021 at Autozone Park in Memphis, TN. They are the first professional domestic women's rugby league in North America.

PR 7s has exposed more athletes to playing professional rugby. From new athletes to seasoned Major League Rugby (MLR) squad members, the league is helping rugby players show off their skills and stay conditioned while MLR is in its offseason.

In this second season, four Tennessee alumni are participating on rosters as players and coaches.

Kaitlyn Broughton (Murfreesboro, TN)

Kaitlyn Broughton returns to Premier Rugby Sevens for her second straight year. Broughton comes back to the Experts, one of the league's four teams. The squad went 1-3 in the inaugural season tournament. Broughton is a capped USA Eagle.

Sierra Watkins (Chattanooga, TN)

Sierra Watkins is making her professional rugby debut with PR 7s' Loggerheads team. Watkins played club rugby for Columbia Women's Rugby when she attended Barnard College in New York City. She moved to Chattanooga after a visit to her parents and accepting an offer from FreightWaves, one of the city's fastest growing companies. Watkins played for the Nooga Queens before getting her first professional contract.

David Ebert (Franklin, TN)

David Ebert is making his professional rugby debut with PR 7s' Headliners side. Ebert has been playing with Nashville Rugby Club and USA South's U23s. Before, he was a standout with the Ravenwood Raptors in central Tennessee. Ebert looks to make an impact with his first professional opportunity while being coached by Nashville resident Peter Tiberio.
